Hi Everyone!

Tonight’s workout is focused on the core. This is a tough 10 minute interval workout.

I love core workouts because a strong core helps you in everything you do. It improves your balance, posture, and helps protect you from injury.

This routine works every aspect of the core. It’s challenging and quick, but if you have more time you can repeat it.

I combined this workout with a 3.5 mile run outside. The weather is in the mid 70s, and the skies were pure blue, so I answered the call of the road and put in some miles. I just can’t resist the sunshine! I did it prior to filming, so if I look a bit wind blown in the video that’s why. 🙂

I am getting the racing bug again. Last summer one of my goals was to improve my 5K time (which I did! Yay!) This year I would like to improve my time again, and start training for a half marathon. Eventually I would like to train for a full marathon, but I am worried that between working and blogging I wouldn’t have enough time to dedicate to the training. Either way I will be sharing my journey with you here.

Enjoy!
Melissa

This was deceptively difficult. I should have known, after seeing you struggle, that this would be a hard one. I loved the ab burn. I coupled this with one of your cardio intervals and did both twice. Thank you for sharing your workouts, I love them!

Thank you so much for this workout.
Wow, Melissa, you are a tough tough strong super woman! Gosh! Wow, Im 35 and I couldnt keep up with you. Been working for a year, and your workouts bring it to another level!
I found this one particularly challenging because of the intervals: 50 secs is a long time for me. I had to shorten them and work in high intensity for 30 or til failure (which was before 50 secs!) and then rest. I attempted to go for another round on this,… Girl, by the end of it, I was on the floor! And I had done some quick 15-min HIIT before your workout, so… 🙂
Im excited to see what day 2 of this 30-day abs challenge brings. I think today, I’ll just go for one round 🙂
Thanks again for sharing your passion for health and fitness, and do it freely and open to everybody. You are sharing life with all of us. Thank you!

That is the toughest ab workout I’ve done in years. I’m 60 and was in martial arts for several years when I was in my 40’s, want to get back into shape again. Thank you so much for sharing your expertise !!!
